How do I get my order?
If you’re shopping for our regenerative and grass-fed meats and cheeses online, you can pick your order up at one of our 6 pickup points across Northwest Ohio. Otherwise, you can shop in-person at our farm store at 18637 Rd 168 in Defiance, OH.
When should I place my order?
Place your order by Monday at 12 pm for same-week pickup.
I changed my mind. Can my order be edited?
Yes! You can edit your order up until the weekly order deadline (Monday at 12 pm).
Do you offer shipping?
We don’t currently offer shipping, but are exploring it. Sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know about shipping updates.
Our Products
How is your meat raised?
Our meat is 100% grass-fed and pasture-raised without the use of GMOs.
How are your poultry raised?
Our chicken and turkey are pasture-raised and supplemented with a non-GMO grain mixture.
Can anyone buy raw milk cheeses?
Yes! Anyone is welcome to buy our award-winning raw milk cheeses.
How are your laying hens raised?
During the summer, our laying hens have access to a grass run or free-range on pasture from our mobile coops. In the colder months, we’ve invested in a 100 ft long greenhouse to house them and provide them with warmth, shelter, and adequate light year-round.

Our Herdshare
What is a herdshare?
A herdshare is when a farmer sells ownership share of their animals to those who want to source raw milk. The members can then source raw milk from the farmer. Learn more about our herdshare.
What products are available to herdshare members?
Our grass-fed raw milk, raw cream, and raw butter are available exclusively to herdshare members. (Our award-winning raw milk cheese is available to all customers!)
How do I join the Canal Junction herdshare?
In order to join our Ohio herdshare, you simply need to fill out a short application and pay an initial buy-in fee. Apply here!
If our herdshare is currently full, add your name to our waitlist and we will contact you once a spot opens up.
How do I order herdshare-exclusive products?
If you’re a member of the herdshare:
- Log in with your customer account before shopping!
- Make sure the location you’ve selected is a Members Only location. (Need help with this? See the next question!)
- Shop our herdshare-exclusive raw milk products.
I’m a herdshare member but I can’t see raw milk products. What should I do?
Make sure the pickup location you have selected is a “Members Only” location. These location names end with “- Members Only.”
To change your selected location, click the [CHANGE] button next to the name of your current location towards the top of any page. Once you’ve selected a Members Only location, you should be able to see raw milk products in the store.
I’m a herdshare member but I still see really high prices for raw milk products.
First, confirm you’ve logged into your customer account (and that the account email matches the one we have on file for your herdshare membership).
If you’ve confirmed you’re logged into the correct account but are still seeing the high prices, please contact us and we will fix it for you as soon as possible.
Raw Milk
How are your dairy cows raised?
Our Normande dairy herd is 100% grass fed, rotationally grazed, and totally free of antibiotics, hormones and residuals from pesticides and herbicides.
What’s so special about Canal Junction Farm’s milk?
Normande cows’ milk is more nutritionally dense in terms of both butterfat and protein. Raw milk also contains numerous enzymes and beneficial bacteria that both aid in digestion and act as general anti-pathogens for the milk itself.
Is your milk certified?
Yes! We are certified by the Ohio Department of Agriculture as a Grade A milk producer, meaning we submit to and pass regular inspections for cleanliness and quality. We maintain that cleanliness to ensure a high quality, safe, nutritious product.
